'Tis the season
Christmas is approaching quickly and my sadness is growing. This will be the first year my husband, Son and I will spend Christmas in a new town and alone. Our families are split between Florida and Mexico and unfortunately we can't go to either place. It breaks my heart my son won't play with his little cousins and will have to open presents alone. Though I am happy and extremely thankful with God because he has blessed me with a great & supportive husband, and the best healthy baby anyone could ask for. May your holiday season be filled with joy, happiness and lots of love!

Burlap Rose Sash and Banner
I wanted to create a cute but simple maternity sash for C. She was expecting a baby boy so I looked at my crafty box (most is still in storage :() I found some brown tulle that I had left over from my baby shower. The burlap rosettes are so much fun, simple, and quick to make. Then got my hot glue gun and voila! quick, cheap and pretty maternity sash.

The burlap banner was also fun but it took just a little more work than the roses. I used some mod podge to make it sturdy, after waiting for it to dry up I then painted the letters. It was also a little tough since I used my bare finger hehehehe.
I am happy with the outcome, and so were they with their photo session. That's what counts!

It's Saturday!!
A day after the Newton's CT tragedy, and watching el Teleton USA today gets me so emotional. Being a mother has definitely changed my life, and my heart goes out to all the persons affected by that craziness up north. I hope that Teleton USA reaches and even surpasses their goal to be able to create a center to help special children. I wish I'd be working at a bank to promote this beautiful cause more and help with the donations.
On a happy note, I will be uploading some pictures of other crafty projects I did a while back. It consists with a beautiful maternity sash for my sister in law's maternity photo shoot here in Houston, Tx.
And in the picture below, I helped her with the decorations for her baby shower, hand sanitizer logo (which were the party favors). Also used the same sash on the bird cage which was used to store the envelopes with the monetary present or gift card to use towards the baby needs. The wooden picture frame that is hanging had pink ribbon across it to hang the bows/headbands that guests brought as well for a little giveaway. You can also see she used a picture of the maternity session. :D Go #Almacavazosphotography!
Cute birdie hand sanitizer and cupcake toppers. Hershey kisses also hung on a tree were the centerpieces. She loved my idea for my baby shower so much we ended doing similar on hers. :D sooo cute!!
I was in love with this bird cage! I should've kept it.

Then I used the same sash for her beautiful daughter, my niece, Frida's Newborn Shoot. Isn't she precious?

latest project
Guess who's back!?!
I'm Backkkk!!
Geez this is ridiculous!! I can't believe I haven't been on this blog since over a year ago! Shame on me! It has been crazy, I never posted pictures of my son being born. I believe last I posted was some preparations for his birth and (chocolate covered cookies with marshmallow). I moved this year from beautiful Florida to Texas to give it a try. I am super homesick, but it's only been about 7 months that I left LOL. Anyway, I haven't been able to craft much, my baby is already 20 months old so you can imagine him running around everywhere LOL. I miss my cricut and big shot!
This was made last year (2011) as a Mothers day present from Matteo to his god-mother and his aunt:
