Scooter over protection

This past weekend we were cruising through the toy/bike section at Walmart. We saw a Disney Cars kids scooter and didn't think twice of buying it for our sweet boy, Matteo. We picked out some knee and elbow pads, gloves and looked for his unused helmet. Yeah, that helmet is pretty small for him now lol. I thought it would be a struggle to out all that safety equipment on him, but to my surprise he was anxious to wear it. Finally we go to our spacious backyard and there goes Matteo, an expert on the scooter. Joe and I are laughing at ourselves for being so cautious thinking he was most likely going to fall often, but he didn't even need it!! Next up, a skateboard so the safety gear can be of an actual use :)

Oh my, has been another month I have not posted anything. I will soon, now that my temporary job ended and I'm about to finish my semester. Phew, today I get to turn in one of my projects and take my final exam. Wish me luck! Have a good day.

No time

School and work has kept me busy. Not only that, but my son and husband has too. It's not an easy task, but has definitely kept me away from doing what I love. Taking pictures. As you can see on my other published posts, I have a passion for photography. www.almacavazos.com and www.facebook.com/almacavazosphotography. I truly miss being able to have a chance to take pictures. I have had to say no to a few inquiries and didn't plan a Valentine's Day Mini Shoot as I usually do.
Having that said, I might have to change that. I have been wanting to shoot a quince or trash the dress session (either quince or newly weds works) so I have been thinking of doing a giveaway. Any fun ideas you'd like to enlighten me with? Hit me up with a comment, message, or email info@almacavazos.com

Have a great day!

Ready To Go... Video of Matteo

I'd like to share with you this video we did of my son, Matteo. He loves seeing it all the time LOL. It is mixed of when he was a baby, and as he was growing. I picked the song because it is one of his all time favorite. He absolutely adores listening to DJ. Martin Solveig.

He was about 6 months old when he listened to "HELLO" song and was attracted to the beat. Mind you the video. He could literally watch it many many times every day. We also began looking for other songs by this DJ. Come to find out Matteo likes all of his videos! I love that my son has a heart for music, he is very outgoing and extremely active. You can catch a little of his day on this video. I'm sorry it's shaky and out of focus, but I was learning to use my DSLRs video and it's very different from the other cameras that focuses automatically.

Frog Leg Festival 2014

Good morning. Yesterday I was sent back home from work due to Pink Eye. Luckily, I work for a community clinic and the Dr. there was able to check me immediately and politely kicked me out of the office LOL. He prescribed some drops and said I should be fine by today. No luck. My eye is still the same, in fact I feel like it's worse since it's very teary. Sigh. These pictures I'm about to post are from last weekend. The Frog Leg Festival is an annual fest that comes to my small town. I remember since I was a little-pretty-girl (hey! no laughing!) it's been occurring. Oh, I'm so happy my son gets to experience this hometown tradition. But no, we definitely don't eat the frog legs. Poor yucky little skinny things that get fried and eaten by brave people. The real things freak and gross me out, none the less dead!
He prefers to play with his Cars Lightning McQueen.
 My sweet boy, Matteo.

Internet failure...

I started my day great. I get to work, then remember to call AT&T to check up on the status from last week. I live on the outskirts of a small town, and it is considered a rural area. Which means My house doesn't qualify for internet service. I tried AT&T, Comcast, Brighthouse... Nothing. Only DishNet which offers me limited services. Um, no. I need lots and lots of GB.

Anyway, so supposedly Arlene, the agent, said she would send a tech out to my house. My back door neighbors qualify for Uverse, the whole street that is not even 100 ft from my house qualify for Uverse, so why can't my home? I am on the phone, kept getting transferred back and forth through the same departments with the run-a rounds. I had a ticket number, for Pete's sake and you still can't help me? I finally got the point where I told the last technical support guy that wanted to transfer me for the 6th time, over 30 mins later, that I knew it was not his fault but that I was extremely frustrated with them not helping me out. I told him politely I needed to calm down and I would call the next day fresh. It is obviously MY interest to get this service at home, mind you I have online classes I need to do, so I spent my day looking for alternative ways to get to the right person. I sent an email so hopefully this will help. Wooosaah... I feel better blogging this. Have a great day.
